A classic comfort meal idea that's full of family-favorite flavor and weeknight ease!
πŸ“ Ingredients :
For the Meatballs:
1 lb ground beef (or premade meatballs)
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 cup brown gravy (store-bought or homemade)
For the Mashed Potatoes:
2 large russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
Salt & black pepper to taste
For the Veggie Side:
1 1/2 cups baby carrots
1/2 cup green peas (frozen or fresh)
1 tbsp butter
Salt & pepper to taste
🍽️ How to Make It :
1️⃣ Form & Cook the Meatballs:
Mix beef, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, and seasoning. Roll into balls and bake at 400°F for 20 minutes, or pan-fry until browned. These bring that savory, juicy bite and easy meal prep win.
2️⃣ Smother with Gravy:
Heat meatballs in brown gravy just before serving. That rich saucy finish ties it all together like a comfort food hug.
3️⃣ Make the Mash:
Boil potatoes until soft, then mash with butter and milk. Season to taste. It’s the perfect creamy base for that gravy-drizzled goodness.
4️⃣ Steam the Veggies:
Steam carrots and peas until tender, then toss with butter, salt, and pepper. This gives you a fresh veggie pop and balance to the plate.
5️⃣ Plate & Pour:
Scoop mash onto plate, surround with meatballs and veggies. Drizzle everything with gravy for that diner-style dinner goal.
