Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Creamy Garlic Sauce



Ingredients

For the Chicken:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

2 large eggs, beaten

2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

2 tbsp butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

1. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness.

2. In one bowl, whisk eggs. In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

3. Dip each chicken breast into the egg wash, then coat evenly with the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

2. Fry chicken breasts 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).

3. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

1. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sautΓ© for 1 minute until fragrant.

2. Sprinkle in flour and whisk for 1–2 minutes to create a roux.

3. Slowly pour in chicken broth, whisking until smooth. Add heavy cream and simmer until thickened.

4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4: Combine & Serve

Place chicken breasts back into the skillet and spoon sauce over them.

Garnish with fresh parsley.
