Honey Garlic Chicken Tenders:

4 chicken tenders (or breast strips)

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp honey

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp soy sauce

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp onion powder

Steamed Veggie Mix:

1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, broccoli, snap peas, water chestnuts, etc.)

Salt & pepper to taste

Optional: drizzle of olive oil or butter

White Rice:

1/2 cup uncooked white rice (yields ~1.5 cups cooked)

1 cup water

Pinch of salt

Cook the Rice: Rinse rice and add to a pot with water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce to low. Simmer 18–20 mins until fluffy.

Make the Chicken: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken tenders and sear both sides (about 4–5 mins per side). In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, pepper, and onion powder. Pour over chicken and let simmer until sticky and glazed, about 2–3 more mins.

Steam Veggies: Steam frozen or fresh veggies until fork-tender (about 5–7 mins). Season lightly with salt and pepper or toss in a little butter if desired.

Plate It: Add a scoop of rice, a handful of colorful veggies, and 2–3 tenders with glaze on top.
