These bright green crinkle cookies are a Christmas classic with a playful twist. Soft, chewy, lightly sweet, and dusted in snowy powdered sugar — they’re everything you love about a holiday cookie, with a little Grinchy charm. Perfect for cookie boxes, parties, and gifting!
π ingredients:
• 1 box white cake mix (15.25 oz)
• 1/3 cup vegetable oil
• 2 large eggs
• 1–2 tsp vanilla extract
• Green gel food coloring (to get that perfect Grinch shade)
• 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
• Optional: red heart sprinkles for decoration
π₯£ directions:
mix the cookie dough
In a bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until a thick dough forms. Add green gel food coloring until you reach a bright Grinch green.
chill for best crinkles
Cover the dough and refrigerate 20–30 minutes so it firms up. This helps the cookies crackle beautifully in the oven.
roll in sugar
Scoop 1-inch balls of dough, then roll each one generously in powdered sugar until fully coated.
bake
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 9–11 minutes, or until the tops are crackled and the edges are set.
decorate & cool
Press a red heart sprinkle on top while warm if you want that adorable Grinch look. Let cool completely.
