A warm, gooey holiday show-stopper that tastes like Christmas wrapped in a blanket. Soft sourdough, melty brie, sweet-tart cranberries, and a hot-honey drizzle… this one disappears fast.
π ingredients
• 1 large round sourdough loaf
• 8 oz brie, cut into small cubes
• 1 cup whole cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
• 1/3 cup dried cranberries
• 3 tbsp butter, melted
• 2 tbsp honey (plus more for drizzling)
• 1–2 tbsp hot honey (optional but amazing)
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg
• Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish
π₯£ directions
slice the loaf
Using a sharp serrated knife, slice the sourdough in a crosshatch pattern, cutting deep but not all the way through the bottom. Think pull-apart cubes.
stuff the bread
Tuck brie cubes into the cracks all over the loaf. Spoon cranberry sauce into the gaps, then sprinkle in dried cranberries so every pocket gets a little sweetness.
mix the buttery drizzle
Stir together melted butter, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour slowly over the entire loaf, letting it sink into all the cuts.
bake until melty
Wrap the stuffed loaf loosely in foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
Uncover and bake another 10–12 minutes until the brie is bubbling and the top is golden.
finish with honey
Drizzle with hot honey (regular honey works too) and scatter fresh rosemary on top for that festive look.
serve
Pull apart warm pieces and enjoy the sweet-savory magic.
π‘ tips
• Swap cranberry sauce for cherry preserves or fig jam if you want a richer holiday twist.
• Add chopped pecans for crunch.
• Use a wheel of camembert if you prefer a stronger cheese flavor.
⏲ bake time: 30–35 mins
serves: 6–8 as an appetizer
