Ingredients
2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and wingettes
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to your spice preference)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. (5 minutes)
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, smoked paprika, and black pepper. (3 minutes)
3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the sweet and spicy sauce. Ensure every piece is well covered. (5 minutes)
4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they aren't overcrowded. (2 minutes)
5. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip the wings and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and the skin is nicely browned and slightly crispy. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C). (40-45 minutes)
6. Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. (2 minutes)
Pro tip
For extra crispy wings, pat them dry with paper towels before tossing them in the sauce.
