Ingredients:
4 chicken quarters (legs and thighs)
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon orange zest
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken quarters in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
Bake the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in the prepared baking dish. Reserve the marinade for basting. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), basting with the reserved marinade halfway through.
Broil for Crispiness: For extra crispy skin, switch the oven to broil for the last 3-5 minutes of cooking, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy the sweet, juicy, and irresistibly flavorful chicken!
