Homemade Shrimp Burger with Guacamole


⭐ Ingredients (makes 2–3 burgers)

🍀 For the Shrimp Patties

• 350–400 g shrimp (peeled & deveined)

• 1 small garlic clove (minced)

• 1 tbsp lemon juice

• 1 tbsp mayonnaise

• 1 tbsp dijon mustard (optional)

• 2 tbsp breadcrumbs or crushed crackers

• 1 tbsp chopped parsley

• Salt & pepper

• 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

πŸ₯‘ For the Guacamole

• 1 ripe avocado

• ½ lime (juice)

• 1 tbsp finely chopped red onion

• 1 tbsp chopped cilantro or parsley

• Salt, pepper

• Optional: tiny pinch of chili flakes

🍞 Extras for assembling

• 2–3 brioche or burger buns

• Lettuce leaves

• Tomato slices

• Optional: sliced red onion

• Optional: spicy mayo

πŸ”₯ How to Make It

1️⃣ Make the Shrimp Patties

1. Take ⅔ of the shrimp and chop them finely until almost paste-like.

2. Chop the remaining ⅓ into small chunks (these give great texture).

3. Mix shrimp with garlic, lemon juice, mayo, mustard, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt & pepper.

4. Form into firm patties.

5. Heat a little oil in a pan and cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

• They should be crispy outside and juicy inside!

2️⃣ Make the Guacamole

1. Mash the avocado.

2. Add lime juice, red onion, cilantro/parsley, salt, pepper.

3. Mix until creamy.

3️⃣ Toast the Buns

• Lightly toast buns in the same pan for extra flavor.

4️⃣ Assemble the Burger

1. Spread guacamole on the bottom bun.

2. Add lettuce + tomato.

3. Place the warm shrimp patty on top.

4. Add a spoonful of guacamole OR spicy mayo.

5. Close the bun and press slightly.
