🦐✨ Crispy, golden, garlicky shrimp poppers you can snack on like nuggets — dipped in a cool, spicy ranch that keeps you coming back for more. Perfect for parties, game nights, or when you just want something fun and dangerously addictive.
ingredients:
• 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined, chopped small
• 1 cup panko or regular breadcrumbs
• 1 egg
• 3 tbsp melted butter
• 1 tbsp minced garlic
• 1/2 cup grated parmesan
• 1 tbsp chopped parsley
• 1/2 tsp paprika
• Salt & pepper to taste
• Oil for frying or air-frying
spicy ranch dip:
• 1/2 cup ranch dressing
• 1–2 tbsp hot sauce (to your heat level)
• 1 tsp paprika or cayenne
• 1 tsp lemon juice
directions:
mix the poppers
In a bowl, combine chopped shrimp, breadcrumbs, egg, melted butter, garlic, parmesan, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until it forms a sticky mixture you can scoop.
shape and cook
Scoop out small bite-size balls.
Pan-fry in a little oil until golden and crispy on both sides (about 3–4 minutes), or air-fry at 400°F/200°C for 8–10 minutes.
make the dip
Stir ranch, hot sauce, paprika/cayenne, and lemon juice until smooth and zippy.
serve
Pile the crispy shrimp poppers on a plate and serve with the spicy ranch for dipping. They go fast — make extra.
tips:
• Add crushed red pepper if you want a hotter popper
• Swap panko for crushed pork rinds to make it low-carb
• Air-frying = lighter but still crunchy
• Squeeze lemon over hot poppers for a fresh kick
