π ingredients:
• 1 lb corned beef, chopped or sliced thin
• 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
• 1 cup Thousand Island dressing (or Russian dressing)
• 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
• 6–8 slices rye bread, cut into cubes
• 2 tbsp butter, melted
• Optional: 1 tsp caraway seeds for extra classic flavor

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
assemble the layers
Layer 1: Spread half of the bread cubes evenly in the bottom of the dish.
Layer 2: Half of the corned beef.
Layer 3: Half of the sauerkraut.
Layer 4: Half of the Swiss cheese.
Layer 5: Half of the dressing.
Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
Drizzle melted butter over the top for a golden finish.

Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let casserole cool 5 minutes before serving.
