• 3 ripe bananas, mashed
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
cream cheese frosting
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

make the batter
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
mix dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually stir into banana mixture just until combined. Fold in nuts if using.
bake
Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
make frosting
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until fluffy.
frost and serve
Spread frosting evenly over cooled cake. Slice and enjoy.
