Ingredients:
For the Steak and Shrimp:
1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (or your favorite spicy seasoning)
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Mango Sauce:
1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
1/4 cup fresh mango juice (or substitute with orange juice)
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Alfredo Sauce:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Pasta:
12 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Directions:
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Steak and Shrimp
Season the steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak slices for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon butter and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Mango Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine the diced mango, mango juice, lime juice, honey, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder. Simmer over medium heat for 5-6 minutes, until the mango softens and the mixture thickens slightly. Set aside.
Step 4: Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the steak and shrimp, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.
Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5: Combine and Serve
Toss the cooked pasta in the Alfredo sauce until well coated.
Gently stir in the mango sauce, then top with the cooked steak and shrimp.
Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley for a bright finish.
Enjoy your Spicy Mango Steak and Shrimp Alfredo as a unique, tropical fusion of flavors with just the right balance of sweet, spicy, and creamy!
