Ingredients:
500g wheat flour
250ml lukewarm water
1 tsp baker's yeast
1 tbsp sugar
120ml milk
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Preparation:
In a bowl, mix the lukewarm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, add the flour and salt.
Pour the yeast mixture, milk, and oil into the flour.
Mix until you obtain a soft dough.
Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth.
Cover and let it rise for 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in volume.
Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
Roll each ball out into a disc.
Cook the buns in a hot pan or in the oven until they puff up and are lightly golden.
Let them cool slightly and serve.
If you like, I can also make you a shorter, more elegant version, or one that's more "Facebook food page" style.
