These ham and cheese French toast rolls are French toast you can eat by hand, tasting just like a ham and cheese sandwich! They're quick to make, perfect for serving a large group, and you can even prepare them in advance – convenient and delicious!

Instructions:


Prepare the bread:

Trim off the hard edges of the bread slices, then roll them out flat with a rolling pin.


Filling and rolling:

Place ham and cheese slices on the flattened bread slices, then roll them up tightly, ensuring the filling doesn't leak out.


Prepare the egg mixture:

Crack an egg into a bowl, add milk, salt, and pepper, and mix well.


Coat with egg mixture:

Dip the rolled bread rolls into the egg mixture, ensuring each roll is evenly coated.


Pan-frying: Add butter or cooking oil to a frying pan and heat until hot. Place the bread rolls coated in egg wash into the pan and fry until golden brown on all sides and the cheese is melted.


Platering: Remove the fried ham and cheese French toast rolls from the pan and let them cool slightly before serving.


Tips:
