These Condensed Milk Gorditas are thick, tender, lightly sweet griddle cakes made with a mix of flour and masa harina.
They’re incredibly soft, easy to prepare, and perfect for breakfast, snacks, or to enjoy with coffee.
Spread them with dulce de leche, jam, Nutella, or eat them plain — they’re delicious every time!

2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (120 g) masa harina (corn flour for tortillas)
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 egg
1 can (14 oz / 395 g) sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
About ½ cup (120 ml) milk
Oil or butter for cooking
1. Make the dough
In a bowl, combine flour, masa harina, baking powder, and salt.
Add the egg, sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Add milk gradually until a soft, smooth, non-sticky dough forms.
2. Shape the gorditas
Divide the dough into 10–12 balls.
Flatten each one into a thick disk (about 1 cm / ½ inch).
3. Cook
Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
Cook each gordita for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and slightly puffed.
4. Serve
Serve warm or at room temperature.
Fill or top with dulce de leche, jam, Nutella, cream cheese, or coconut.
