• 1 cup cornmeal

• 1 cup flour

• 1/4 cup sugar

• 1 tbsp baking powder

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1 cup buttermilk

• 2 eggs

• 1/3 cup melted butter

• 1–2 tbsp butter for the skillet
